Has it been deployed widely within PLA?
Wonder why some 625s don't have radar while others do. Those that don't have radars, how do they find and identify friend/foe?Some nice screen captures of Type 625s.
Radars are the most expensive subsystem on such an AAA. They prolly operate in a battery structure of 1 radar vehicle combined with 2/3 non radar.
Photo above LD22-7144, as per my assessment, is 71st AD Brigade
While people may argue, LD is Eastern Theatre Command, 22 is 71st Group Army AD Brigade
7144 is most probably the 7th ELINT battalion (my assessment, you may treat as trash)
So, radars are grouped are with the 625 AAG Battalion (which again as per my assessment is the 5th battalion)
