Is there any evidence supporting the Chinese claim that the P-8 attempted to fly close to the J-16? In other words, why should we take the CCP/China's word over that of Canada or Australia?
Because Western MSM has no credit as they're famous for lying, such as calling China's highly reserved response to the Hong Kong terrorist riots a "brutal crackdown" and saying that China's COVID response was a failure and theirs (as well as India's) much better despite the term "Corpse Mountain" being an accurate description of the situation in the West. At this point, whenever the Western MSM makes any claim, especially about China, you can almost without fail assume it is false or even opposite.

That would be a very serious provocation. Japan got really mad when South Korean warship locked on to one of their spy planes.
Japan is stronger than South Korea thus that it might feel "serious provocation" and "get mad", and it's just between the allies, might just be optics... they would stop bickering when Big Boss instructed so.

What will be China's concern (if any) whether Australia feel provoked or not. What Australia can do that China must be afraid? After all it's Australia's provocation to have a spy plane comes close to China's territory.

So again, what Australia possesses that will concern China... after all of these relentless word provocations even hawkish threats by Canberra and now military flight? Why should China be afraid of Australia? Or Canada? Or UK? I just don't see why China should be afraid them, if they do reckless things in China's backyard, China simply returns the favors. After all Chihuahuas bark a lot, just look at those little Baltics.

Hope so. More response from chinese side is just normal, but not going to make US stop. Just play the game
The way to respond is to fly really close to Japanese or Korean bases that have f35s or get really close to where 7th fleet is. They have the assets to be able to do that now.

I Hope but CN seems to still playing nice nice against US and its allies and thinking US will do same. I want to see aggressive move like sending those type 927 SURTASS ship near USN SSN bases indefinitely like US is doing in SCS.. This one from AGI-792 was good, i like it. More and more and next Time closest point should be 20nm or lessFSnLNSUUEAE-bg6.jpg

They deserve all the bad pr they get if they don't learn this game. Sure, western established international order has established what they view as acceptable practice and what's not. But at this point, there is nothing stopping them from observing the 7th fleet or even sending spy ships next to Hawaii.
