  • On 29 January 2018, a PLAAF Y-8G SIGNT/ELINT Intelligence aircraft has been suspected to be involved in a crash while on a training flight near Zunyi, Guizhou Province. All 43 on board were killed in the accident. Investigations are still currently ongoing.[

looks like, for the moment, only the accident is confirmed by the weibo account of PLAF (I checked it), everything else is just rumor.
