What plane model is this? New Y-9-based Gaoxin aircraft?

Can anyone ID this airbase? It's somewhere in western China. Images are allegedly taken around February of this year.
I am pretty confident that he just translated tweet from @foolsball. The airbase is Shigatse AB, Tibet as OP already mentioned it in his tweet.

As for the original source of satellite pictures, they are from Maxar Premium Membership. And the picture over Chengdu was not taken in April but early March.

China recently award a regiment flying H-6K as some sort of model regiment related to their role in expelling foreign ships in Chinese waters. I think this is related to the recent happenings in SCS, what do you guys think?

And quoting this from the Breaking & World News Thread:
View attachment 114766
This message got pushed out to most people's phone yesterday. Rumour is it's a H-6K unit and further rumour is the reward is for them successfully carrying out a simulated strike against US CSG, although not sure if it was this week. If you listen to Yankee and Shilao they were just taking about this yesterday and saying how keeping H-6 production going and going through the big re-engine program turned out to be very far sighted.

If either or both of the allegations are/is indeed true - Then perhaps we could see more H-6K/J/Ns keep rolling out of the production lines in Xian for at least the remainder of the 2020-decade?

If anything is to solidify H-6's usefulness for a near-peer naval conflict in the WestPac in the eyes of the PLA, this is it.

One question though - Shouldn't H-6Js be the ones doing the job instead of H-6Ks? Or do their respective roles easily interchangeable between the two variants?

I kind of doubt there is much of a difference between an H-6K or H-6J anymore. The idea of specialized airframes has mostly gone the way of the dodo ever since digital avionics and multi-role aircraft became a thing. One good example of this is the PLANAF coastal aircraft being folded into the regular PLAAF.

China really needs that H-20. And the mythical JH-XX would not be unwelcome either.
