I think such documentaries would arise (and in general more info about various stuff in China will be released) although it might be in multiple decades (also dependent on the state of the US, or well how badly it is doing).

How credible are these numbers? Who is the source?

I always believe J-16 should have the highest production number eventually, but the numbers above (56@2021 & total 298) blow my mind. The total SF production number in 2021 appears bit too high to be true (72 Flankers). Both Y-20 and Z-20 are higher than expected.

By the way, I have been projecting/speculating total 600 J-16/J-16D/J-15B/J-15D, and 300 J-20 by 2027.
