one shortcoming of KJ-200 is that since asingle antenna only has a 80 deg scan ( back issue of miltech),it means there are 40 deg. blind spot in front and rear.
israel G-550 and Wedgetail AWACS added addional 2 radar, one in front and one in the back to provide 360 deg. cover.
the two small antenna maybe connected to chinese version of JTIDS.

On huitong's page it says the Kj-200 has smaller nose and tail arrays which provide 360 cover.

the small nose is part of data distribution system.or Chinese equivalent to link-16.
second, i not notice any ESM antenna.
possible improve version may be in the horizon.

this is an interesting part. Basically says that the plane takeoff weight increased from 61 ton to 65 ton. The wings are changed to improve the endurance.

They've made a lot of improvements to avionic system including the display and made system digital. The engine also improved from delivering 4250 hp to 5000 hp which really improved aircraft's performance in high altitude and high temperature condition. The propeller is self designed. They have now developed the technology for composite material in turboprop propellers

when will PAF ZDK-03 AWACS become operational?surely one question arise, if ZDK-03 become operational it could track predator attack drone.and giving the connection between taliban and pakistan military establisment ,it possible it could provide them advance early warning to the taliban(or al queda) .

more KJ-200. We finally see them serving for the navy. I've been reading about KJ-200 providing targeting information for Type 022s, so I'm not too surprised that we finally see them in service.

We see 9371 in the picture, but there is at least another balance beam in the background. I presume that this is going to be a regiment of 4 like the other AWACS regiments.

I can see 4 vertical tail-fins in the picture after the first Y-8F200 which is clearly not a KJ-200. For the 2 in the front, we can definitely see balance beams. The latter 2 are painted in the same colour as the Y-8F200 rather than grey like the 2 KJ-200s, so I'd assume that they are not KJ-200. Any thoughts?
