Basically, the article says that SAC has two assembly lines going right now, one for category 2 platform and the other for category 3 platform. It says that Category 2 line is flowing smoothly and the category 3 line is fully in motion. The SAC needs to be assembling planes at least at 0.8 planes per month (ie: 10 planes a year). So basically, PLA is ordering at minimum 10 high new series planes a year. And since category 3 platform have always been used for KJ-200, it looks like there is quite a huge order put in for it. I'm guessing at least 4 more for another regiment. It looks like since the 2006 tragedy, they modified the plane (as we've seen in the recent photos) and the newly equipped regiment of KJ-200s are probably all using this newly modified platform and probably all produced in the past year. The older KJ-200 are probably at the testing center, maybe they have one with the navy already. The third picture that's attached is a photo of the cockpit of the high new series planes. The last two are most likely KJ-200 currently being assembled (the 6 blade propeller indicates category 3 platform).
Wow, there are a lot of pictures of KJ-200 coming out recently. I think I've finally got it figured out today.
Here is an article posted by huitong on the high new series.

Now, the first picture is one of the high new series 2 type. The second picture is one of the high new series 4 type. The interesting part is that it has the number 10015, which means they are getting another regiment (basically 4 more) of this type of planes. It looks like PLAAF really likes this plane to already be getting 2 regiments. By Huitong's current estimate, it looks like there are 1 regiments of high new series 2, 3, 4, 7 and KJ-200. It looks like they don't need any more than 1 regiment of high new series 3 (which is the command version). So, it's likely going to be 4 KJ-200 and 6+ Y-8s split amongst high new series 2, 4 and 7.

There was an article from SAC that said China placed an order for 2 High New 6, but I haven't seen any such photos. It's certainly not as fun as 2005 when they unveiled a new high new series Y-8 every week.Nice analysis. Just like to point out that Huitong calls the one with the cheek radars High 3 and the command version High 4. And PLAAF probably doesn't need more than one regiment of High 7 anyway, so we'll probably see mostly 2, 3 and KJ-200s.
BTW, what happened with High 6, the ASW patrol version?
it helps to read between the lines.you saved the pentagon a lot of money there, they should pay you for this stuff lol
challenge, you do realize how big a 1200km radius circle is? That's an area between Madrid, Spain to Zurich, Switzerland to Bucharest in Romania. That's essentially all of central Europe. A radar that is that powerful to track a area of that big has to be a very big and extremely powerful radar that just can't be carried by any airplane available today.
