I love this photo, shows KJ-200 in service, although I don't see any numbers on it.

I'm going on a limp and calling this High New 6 (the sometimes talked about Y-8X successor or MPA version similar to P-3C). This looks like Y-8X except for the openings at the rear fuselage. Are these openings too large for sonobuoys?

Whats up with China favouring the glass nose instead of the solid nose??? If I'm correct its Y8-400, but why not the more capable Y8-600 platform???

you seen the latest photos of the KJ-200, notice that they have these wires running form the tail to the body? What are they for? I've seen those wires in photos of war planes in WWII, but never on todays military planes.

These wires are likely to be radio communication aerials as they are in WWII planes.

I would like to know some badges or patches related to PLAAF/PLAN AWACS-specialized units. Is there such a thing?
