Does the PLAAF operate anything akin to the USAF's E-6 "Looking Glass" or the E-4 "Nightwatch"? I'd imagine that a KJ-2000 or GX (or Y-20 in the future) could serve as a dual-purpose AWACS and command post aircraft.

CD member 无乜礁 says there is a picture of GX6 in newest edition of Modern Ships magazine 2015年18th edition 9B. The serial number is 85192. And he speculate that it belong to south sea fleet PLANAF 9th Division. ( And yes, that's the magazine fzgfzy 001A article was published too.)
