What exactly does using fully domestic chips mean? All chips in the KJ-500? Are chip designs entirely indigenous? Or does "domestic" denote all-Chinese manufacturing? A hodgepodge of everything?

If they say they now use domestic chip It will almost certainly meant the design and the manufacturing of the chip .Think it logically The chip is very sensitive and of strategic significant. The opfor can insert "Kill Switch" or worse eavesdropping on the signal A NO NO for this kind of operation.
It is certainly within China capability to design this kind of chip

It may be within PRC capability to design the relevant chips, but the question is did they design it, or just manufacture them with existing foreign designs? I'm not trying to gen up an argument, I just want clarification on what "fully domestic" means. It's a small point, but an important one.
