And it was the Philippine government that allowed this entity to be created. This shows how incompetent Filipino politicians are including the people. Imagine if other countries created a region with the same function as BARMM, its people will certainly demand the government to stop such madness. But the ordinary Filipino don't even care. Perhaps the only time Filipinos will protest is if the region is the Filipino Chinese...
They want to copy what the American did to the Native American BUT can't cause even the American can't pacify the Moro's. Plus it's draining our limited resources and the Moro's had the right because of the historical injustice being done to them.

Regarding the Chinese thru history we were made as scapegoat and fearmongering by our colonizer, Spain is far away and China is within our doorstep, the same thing apply today as the American are Ocean away from providing any assistance. Why do we keep quiet and accept things as they are? It's culture bro and we are a champion in the art of doing nothing....lol. Plus politics here are mostly family driven. FYI most of our politician are Chinese Mestizo, the colonial system create an environment for them to grow, will they allow reform to diminished their power, definitely not. Either be coopted or die, that mantra holds true for all overseas Chinese, we need to conform to survive BUT it doesn't mean we let go of our heritage and culture, its a tough balancing act.

Another slap in the face of the PH's so-called "Secular" constitution. the PH constitution states that all people in the republic are supposed to enjoy equal rights, but apparently Muslims are given special rights and a Holiday Exclusive only to them

the Moro's had the right because of the historical injustice being done to them.

The problem is, the Moros themselves have committed crimes and historical injustice to other non-Moro people within the Philippines. So how about these people? The only reason i see why the Government is quick to appease the Moros is because of their tendency to kill people and resort to violence when their demands are not met. And because the PH government is a bunch of spineless cowards, the Moros get most of their demands. And its this behavior of the PH government that the Chinoys should exploit. If the Moros can make demands, why not the Chinoys? which were around the Philippines before Spanish colonization.

The main argument of the Moros is that they were in the PH even before the Spanish arrived, but they left out an important detail, first, Islam just like Christianity was brought in by Arab colonizers, and this happened only 100 years prior to the Spanish. Second, only portions of Mindanao have been conquered by the new Muslim colonizers, In many instances, indigenous tribes who resisted conversion to Islam have been banished by the Muslims from their original ancestral domains. Third, the Moros resorted to Piracy, and conducted several raids to neighboring areas to capture locals and turn them into slaves.

So how about these atrocities that were committed by the Moros? Moros love to talk about atrocities and injustice against them, But how about the injustice and atrocities they committed against others?

Going back to the situation of present-day Chinoys, as I have mentioned, I think its an opportune moment for the Chinese Filipinos to exploit the weakness of the PH government and make demands of their own. But in order for the Chinoy's demands to be heard, Chinoys will need to consolidate their political and economic power.

In Malaysia, there is the Malaysian Chinese Association, a Chinese political party that seeks to advance Chinese Malaysian interests, there is a similar Chinese political party in Indonesia some time in the 60s or 70s but it seems to have ceased its operations.
I think its a good idea for Chinese Filipinos to create their own political party in the Philippines so they will have a united voice when advancing the interests of Chinese Filipinos.
