It's the Philippines we're talking about man. A country who thinks it can somehow go toe to toe with China whilst can't and have yet to even defeat Asia's longest insurgency campaign show how STUPID, VAPID, VACUOUS, VAINGLORIOUS and most unfortunate of all, IGNORANT OF HISTORY FILIPINOS are.
Even funnier is this photo, this "Checkpoint" is manned by the country's largest Islamist terror group in the south, and that fully uniformed and armed man in the background is NOT a Filipino solider, but a member of the islamist group.
So the Philippines have all these Islamist terror groups in the south who are Free to erect their own Checkpoints and lay claim to any territory they desire and the Philippine government and its supposed "Ally" the United States dont say a single word about "Protecting" the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Philippines.
But hundreds of kilometers away in the sea, China simply deployed a Fishing net in one of its shoals and then all of a sudden the security and national sovereignty of the Philippines is threatened

One of the main arguments of Pseudo Filipino nationalists who are opposed to the idea of engaging with China in the SCS is because according to them, any deals with China in the SCS will "Violate" the Philippine constitution
Meanwhile, These same Pseudo Filipino nationalists are strangely Silent when other factions aside from China are brazenly violating the country's constitution
For example, the Philippine constitution declares:
However, immediately the very own constitution contradicts itself by explicitly giving favorable treatment to Muslims
So now, the Muslims continue to push to see how far they can go with these special privileges. Again, it is enshrined in the Philippine constitution that there is a separation of church and state, but now, Taxpayer's money will be used to build and operate Islamic Madrasas, again, in complete violation of the Philippine constitution
But surprisingly, the China hawks who claim to be the vanguard of the country's sovereignty and constitution are nowhere to be found .
So the bottom line is that Filipinos are willing to turn a blind eye to flagrant violations of their own constitution if they really want to

The Philippines by Law is a Secular country, but for some reason, Muslims are afforded Special privileges, so in essence, Muslims are Above the Law in the Philippines. Filipinos should be ashamed of themselves for making a big fuss with its territorial disputes in the SCS, but are on the other hand Selling out their country to the Muslims.
Gee, the Philippine government is really confused about its national defense priorities.
When there is a Chinese coast guard ship doing regular patrols in the SCS, the Philippine government is quick to make hysterical statements about how the presence of such ships is a threat to PH national security, PH even hosts an hour-long press conference to complain about alleged illegal Chinese activities in the SCS
Meanwhile, Philippine army soldiers are getting massacred left and right in Southern Philippines by Islamic Terrorists, just recently, two soldiers have been killed in an ambush by Islamic Terrorists in the province of Basilan.
But, guess what? Not a single press conference or even mention of such incidents by those who claim to be the Defenders of the PH's national security. Even the spokesperson of the PH Army referred to the perpetrators as "Peace Spoilers"
This is a clear sign that the PH Army is not very enthusiastic in engaging with these Terrorists, which pose a real threat to PH national security.
Instead, the PH Armed forces would rather focus on the mythical China Threat, where not a single Filipino person has been killed by the Chinese PLA.
Delusional Filipino politicians and so-called statesmen always claim that the "Rule of Law" is supreme which is why the PH is confronting China in the SCS as Chinese presence in disputed PH territories is in their words, against UN maritime laws, etc.
In the PH, it is also against the Law to marry minors. But there are certain people in southern Philippines who defy the law and marry minors, in the case below, a 10 year old boy is married to a 14 girl. Clearly such an act violates PH laws but again, those who claim to defend PH Law are suddenly quiet.
So its very important for Filipinos to ask themselves, is it really the Chinese who are the Threat? or is it some certain people from the South.
