As it seems, I was totally wrong all the time: Pakistan will get F-22 & F-35
No one expects the PAF to take delivery of any F-35 or F-22 airframes this decade, but all jokes aside, it's absolutely plausible that Trump offered Field Marshal Asim Munir both fighters during their lunch meeting earlier this week.
In fact, it is more likely than not that Trump offered the F-35 to Munir, and , it's not implausible that he threw in the F-22 too for good measure.
: Trump is willing to make promises that he and the broader USG may not be able or willing to keep. So it absolutely isn't out of character for Trump to promise such arms, even if deliveries won't materialize, given current US strategic priorities.
Top on Trump's agenda are Iran and China, both of which border Pakistan. Having just bombed Iran, Islamabad is now relevant to Washington in ways that it hasn't been since 2001 when the US invaded Afghanistan in the aftermath of 9/11. Likewise, subordinates like Bridge Colby should've already advised Trump of the diplomatic coup it'd be to peel Islamabad away from Beijing.
Some cynics will inevitably insist that Trump hasn't offered Pakistan the F-35 given the absence of reports from mainstream Western media outlets, but the fact of the matter is that both sides are incentivized to keep things close to their chests. The Trump administration wouldn't want Pakistan to get cold feet from inevitable Congressional opposition to such a sale, and the Pakistanis wouldn't want to unnerve Beijing.
Ultimately, even though Pakistan won't embrace Trump's dubious promise of stealth fighters — short of a compounding series of black swan events — Trump could in theory officially and publicly authorize such a FMS to Pakistan if: (i) Islamabad avails its territory for US military operations against Iran, as necessary and with minimal pushback moving forward, and (ii) Islamabad dumps Beijing, which is about as likely as Trump winning the Nobel Peace Prize next year.
I have no direct way of confirming this but I do know some folk that work at Kamra (Pakistan aeronautical complex) and from they say (multiple people) is that alot of new equipment and stuff started coming in around end of march till april, PAF Airchief also went to visit China in April.
According to them, 8 new planes (they dont know which planes tho) came at PAF Qadri
this is their closest airbase to China and have had previous exercises up there too, So small chance those could be the new J's?

The Lunch was supposed to last only 1 hour, but it got extended upto 2 hours 15 minutes, I think part of it is Trump likes 'Strongman' types, He praises Putin, Xi, Kin, Erdogan, ViktorOrban, so this was another one, A active military one from nuclear state, The rest yeah I do wonder what trump offered in return for whatever they wanted, US should know by now that militarily/equipment wise Pakistan wont pivot back to US arms so... ??
I hope they discussed Kashmir atleast.

Mainstream American media paints Trump as someone with a fetish of sorts for "dictators" and "strongmen," but that's just propaganda.
Trump doesn't care whether a foreign leader was "elected" to office, inherited a throne, or seized power by force. Like most narcissistic political elites, Trump wants to get something out of his efforts, and to be treated with the respect and dignity that he believes that his office is entitled to.
A lot of European leaders, out of a desire to please domestic audiences and regional allies who dislike Trump, don't feel a need to show Trump that respect.
Inevitably, these buffoons, however "democratic," aren't going to get much of Trump's attention, especially given what their countries generally can and can't offer at the moment in terms of advancing Trump's own political goals or broader American strategic aims.
Islamabad isn't going to dump Beijing for Washington in the foreseeable future, but it benefits Islamabad to improve relations with Washington while effectively maintaining the status quo with Beijing.
It doesn't cost much for FM Asim Munir or the broader Pakistani national leadership to play nice with Trump.
Likewise, Trump is a salesman at heart, and he's going to make his pitch to the Pakistanis. Can't fault the guy for having the perseverance to try: Trump wouldn't be where he is now otherwise.

Yes yes, I agree, I didnt mean thats the only reason but it was a factor however small., Also I think since other narcissistic elites/Strongman types expect Respect/dignity themselves, these folk know how to talk/communicate with trump in a way that most european leaders dont/cant. They arent used to dealing with someone like that in washington.
After the 2 hour meet up, the next presser Trump was saying 'They(pakistan) arent happy about whats going on (iran), they know Iran better than we do' So they 100% discussed iran too, the ISI chief was with them for the meet. Then next day Trump was openly saying 'Asim munir helped stop the war from Pak side, I love Pakistan' Clearly the meeting went well.
Yes ofcourse, having good relationships with washington especially during IMF program and future IWT situation is always better, and yeah it doesnt cost at all. I think nominating trump for 'nobel peace prize' was just one of those things too, get into good graces without any cost.
