KAAN is supposed to use the same engines in the F-15. It is a much larger aircraft.
Assuming the US lets them have the engines that is. Knowing US politics, Israel will find a way to prevent Turkey from having this aircraft.

KAAN is pipe dream as of now. May be in 10 years time something concrete may emerge.... Secondly, suitable indeginous engines neither availble nor will be available soon... US engines availability also a pipe dream... So KAAN is RIP atleast for 10 years...

Only sensible option for Pakistan is Chinese origin fifth gen...

Hi,
can someone confirm about KAAN engine swap with Chinese engine, in case USA
ban engine technology likewise ATAK129, when Turkey about to export these to Pakistan
though USA is happy with Turks to export these to Philippines and another African country
probably Somalia & if engine swap is possible what kind of Chinese engine KAAN can
possibly be workable
thank you

Makes zero sense. Why would Chinese provide their engine to a NATO Country and cannibalize J35 sales?

Hi,
I think you haven’t understand my post if wasn’t meant for NATO, if we go by the logic of NATO Turkey alreday have S400 either in storage or operational it’s meant for PAF in case I said beside I’m talking about around 2030 onward by the time PAF already be getting im not saying 40 or more but probably around the same like J10s at the moment, another factor is if these KAAN been supplied to KSA & UAE( if ).china can market their product with this
thank you

Why would PAF go through the trouble of paying for integration of a third party engine (and that's a BIG IF because under no circumstances do i see China supplying it as it would cannibalize their own sales) when it can directly buy J35 from China? KAAN is just some fanboys dream for PAF. J35 has everything that we need in a 5th generation fighter. What additional advantages would KAAN bring on the table for PAF? As you can see, PAF entire leadership has clearly indicated the J35 is going to be the 5th Generation Fighter for Pakistani Air Force. It's a much better option for us anyways and I think we cannot afford two different types of 5th generation fighter jets anyways.
