Selecting Type-054As for Pakistan Navy was the best decision ever made in the history of Pakistan Navy. These combat ships will enhance Pakistan Navy's ability to have at least minimal Air Defense capability in the Arabian Sea.

But what I would really like to see is, Pakistan Navy entering into a joint development contract with China. Whereby Pakistan Navy is able to learn and apply the knowledge and skills, to establish the necessary infrastructure required for designing, developing and building large surface combat ships that fulfill all roles at sea ... Air Defense, Anti-Surface Warfare and Anti-Submarine Warfare platforms. This is essential for Pakistan, if it ever wants to see CPEC flourish and when it does, that Pakistan Navy is able to fully protect Pakistan's interests at sea.
