Lots of ignorance going around though on twitter, she isn't trans. She has Swyer Syndrome, which means that while she has XY chromosomes, she was born with female reproductive organs thus was asigned female at birth and has lived her life as female.

It is one of the conditions that can fall under Intersex and shows that "biological sex" isn't cut and dry either.

A similar situation happened with Caster Semenya who almost got disqualified in 2009 because people where accusing her of being trans, when it turned out she had a condition where her testosterone levels were that of a male

The most funny thing is Zheng Qinwen was supposed to be the female in mixed doubles. But she was doing too well in the singles so she ditched the mixed doubles. Wang Xinyu who was already out of the tournament was about to book a flight home but was delayed by the expensive pricing. She then received a phone call asking if she wants to be in the mixed doubles as a substitute.

To be fair it's probably a better this way. Zheng is not a good doubles player. Wang on the other hand has won the French Open as a doubles player so she's actually better for the job.

Let's hope both don't choke on their final matches. I mean they came so far already so why don't just see it through to the end?
Can one switch players in the middle of Olympic?

Zheng Qinwen beats Iga Swiatek in tennis today at the semifinals.

If you don't follow women's tennis, Iga is like the Federer or Djokovic of women's tennis at the moment. She has never lost to Zheng before.

Except on arguably the most important stage today. She might never have another chance again.

First Australia and the US, now Poland? Man, I'm going to compete in the Olympics swimming competition when the swimming pool is filled with salty tears from the collective West.

At the end of the day, it's really ALL the whites vs the Chinese. South Koreans, Taiwan islanders, many HKers, and Japanese are slaves. I don't blame them, but they must eventually be liberated. After all, if you're a HKer working for Goldman Sachs in HK (or your employer is one of their major service providers in HK), it's easy to feel you are in Team America. Speaking of which, I am looking forward to the day when HK medals are counted as Chinese medals.

Didn't know Chinese gen z can make westerners this much butthurt.

"I know these people intimately"

"I've studied them for 30 years"

"I've studied this sport, I've studied this speed, I understand it"

"I'm an expert in it, that's what I do"

Just change a couple words and you literally have every single China-watching Westoid expaarts/blobs out there lmfao
