Is the news and the satellite image real or is it a belated April Fool's joke?

If we accept the satellite image as real:
If we measure the floating dock ( in an old satellite image) and compare it with the image published by REUTERS, it turns out that the new frigate is much longer than 120 metres.

Bruh, the image is so broken that I can't see anything clearly.
The dry dock is indicated with dimensions of about 120 meters.
From the satellite photo published by Reuters, even if not well defined, it is possible to detect the shape of one of the terminal parts of the same that can be superimposed on other satellite photos of the same dry dock.
By doing this it is possible to detect the shape of the North Korean frigate that emerges from the other side of the shape of the dry dock.
Therefore if the latest published by Reuters is confirmed as true, it leads to think that the new frigate has dimensions greater in length than the dry dock itself, this leads to think of a length much greater than the 117 meters that had previously been attributed to it by NK-PRO.

Then certainly soon we will have new images much more defined of the frigate docked at the pier for the final fitting out works and from these indicate more precisely the dimensions of the ship.

On par or larger than Type-054B...

User ‘hufden’ of a Russian forum posted another picture, indicating that it is from 29 March 2025,

so it is definitely not an April 1 joke, but the Reuters one is also true.
The photo of ‘hufden’ is of better quality, so I still tried to estimate the size of the North Korean frigate by aligning this one as closely as possible with another in which the floating dock is seen.
The red lines are +/- to fully align the outline floating dock + bow of the frigate with the pier elements of the other satellite photo.
The white lines are what I personally believe to be the frigate's outline.
Already from the dimensions of the floating dock of about 125 metres, visually the frigate is longer.
Then I tried to work out the dimensions of what I consider the outline of the frigate, which led me to assume a length of about 140 metres.

Of course, this is always a measurement made empirically and therefore an approximate one, which in the future will certainly be confirmed (+/-) by experts with new, even better defined images, or refuted :( completely.

Has this been posted? Apparently North Korea has a submarine (possibly nuclear?) that has a diameter of ~12.5m under construction. Eclipsing any other submarine in NK's aresenal.

The first pictures of Kim Jong-un inspecting the shipyard where that submarine is being built were published in early March 2025

By the way...

View attachment 149305

You can see that Amnok-class frigate still has the incomplete enclosed hangar where the missiles were supposed to be stored as designed.

Since there have been suspicions that North Korea might possess VLS technology to equip its new large surface combatant, I wonder if they are planning to equip her with those same VLS cells?
DPRK Tor/Pyoljji-3 would be a perfect candidate for that imo.
