1. It is estimated that if its speed was equivalent to that of Kumsong-3, when flying for 1400 seconds, its range could be up to 350km. A pretty good and cheap anti-access weapon compared to surface ships, but I still hope they will have a supersonic model as well.

2. If the new vehicle we see today is an improved version of the Kumsong-3, then this vehicle would represent another capability; Indeed, North Korea calls it a "surface-to-air missile system" rather than a surface-to-sea one (Maybe it would be equivalent to Buk/HQ-16/Khordad 3rd in this case?).1708000363911.png

Well, the S.Korea source I attached below makes a different argument. And yesterday's test was a coastal defense system, yes.
Don't speak of nonsense by portraying outdated speculation as fact.

It is about now and not past.

You can see the missile itself.

Hence you should have known.

But instead you choose to spread misinformation.

What I mean is that they are two launch vehicles that MAY be representing two different capabilities. We can see many differences in the shape and size of the TEL vehicle and its launchers. So maybe the S.Koreans have a point when they said that.

It's not a confirming, just a speculating.

P/s: Original text from Namu Wiki:

"It was confirmed that the new missile, which was unveiled at the military parade marking the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army on April 25, 2022, had an increased launch tube length and vehicle bogie wheels compared to the existing Venus (Kumsong)-3. However, considering that it was introduced as an anti-aircraft (surface-to-air) missile rather than an anti-ship (surface-to-ship) missile when the line appeared, it seems that further verification is needed to determine whether the missile in question is an improved version of the Venus-3..."

Discussion: There were many articles from 1-2 years ago about North Korean hackers infiltrating the servers of leading South Korean shipbuilding companies, trying to target data and drawings related to naval combatants for the goal of "bolstering" the NK navy.

What do you think they are looking for?
