There was some announcement from Cook of expanding investment when he met Li Licheng back in autumn 2025 but I don't know the details. I do also remember TrendForce said more than 80% of iPhones are still made in China as of late last year, so as long as Apple does not allow that number to shift any lower, that is also a win.

they are making huge investments in new manufacturing processes with Chinese suppliers and OEMS.

AECC received approval for Gas Turbine Manufacturing and Testing Center project Phase 1. Will be used for assembly and testing AGT7 (10MW class) and AGT110 (100MW class). Crucial step for AECC Gas turbine in manufacturing & high quality development.


成都国贸集团 and DM能源公司 signed agreemnent for 38 2.5MW class gas turbines AGT-3. It's worth 400m RMB and the first 13 equipment will start production in 2026Q1.


AECC has signed agreement for 54 sets of 3MW GTs + 7 GT servicing agreement. AECC has 太行1、太行2、太行2A、太行3、太行3C、太行4 gas turbines covering 1 to 5MW.

Looks like AECC was already doing well with its lower powered gas turbine project. Now, this new manufacturing and testing center will allow them to mass produce larger Gas turbines like AGT-7 and AGT-110 (didn't mention other GTs, but maybe also AGT-15 and AGT-25)

The first one is pretty big news.
