Well here come the episode 5 of the series "China reinvent itself" easily the best episode Mind you this was filmed about 2 years ago So a lot of the project depicted here has been successfully completed.
In this episode it talk about space and under sea exploration switching back and forth.
Denying technology to China will never succeed because the Chinese will invent it themselves slow maybe but relentless
When we watch long march rocket launch it look so easy. But behind those launches there is years of hard work and toil, from improving engine of ever greater thrust to testing drill sample of Chang'e 5 all the way to building Tianwen space lab . As the chief engineer said " We have to invent every single technical break thru by ourselves. We can't depend on other" Indeed as china was denied access to space technology It also talk about Kuaizhou rocket and network of micro satellite
On under sea exploration It talk about the Jiaolong undersea submersible deep dive in Mariana trench and building a better deep sea submersible. It also talk about Haiying glider very fascinating look at this undersea sensor . In one of the experiment they want to collect data when Typhoon hit so they send these glider in the path of Typhoon 50km apart. But will it survive the typhoon? After agonizing wait eventually the Haiying come calling
Up above, thousands of satellites are constantly in orbit. While most are substantial spacecraft weighing thousands of kilograms, some members of this extraterrestrial community are much, much smaller - the microsatellites. And if Wang Yang and his team have anything to do with it, they’re set to get even smaller. That’s because he’s developing a satellite that weighs just 100kg - the first of a projected constellation of microsatellites capable of creating a space network for the whole planet!
