I'm guessing Chinese don't want to pay the premium on the "IP" aspect of these products.

Because the buyers need to be enticed to try a new and unproven product while matured alternatives exist.

Because the price of western GT really does not worth it. It is over-priced for its quality. Quality is not an excuse for its ridiculous price. So cheap is a must and truth of what is about. Think about it, there is no quality that can justify the price difference of 1/10. I think engineers of the rest of the world outside western countries know that very well, so "better quality" won't convince them but "cheaper price for the same quality" will.
