It will be interesting to watch the Dutch economic miracle once their natural gas exploration stops this decade.
I doubt they can survive on shell companies and fraudulent accounting alone. The place is a bit larger than the Cayman islands after all.

The rest of the world could live without some of the legal "innovation" like repelling the Glass-Steagal act in the US or the Basel Accords in the EU.

Don't underestimate them, according to our friend @Anlsvrthng they have a superior law level; with enough XP maybe they could reach a superior economic level, who knows.

Never mind semiconductors, passenger jets, 5G, nanotechnology, quantum computing, and the space program. China needs to get its most brilliant scientists together to work on developing its bankruptcy law so it can be the world leader in bankruptcy law.

And just as an interesting fact, at that point of time the bankruptcy cases was handled by the courts of the local religious offices . : )

The scientific and technological achievements are the result of the legal/juridical/institutional development.

Without the strong institutional background the development of the industry is nothing else just a copy paste process.

I don't know about taiwan but in south korea in times of war i heard their armed forces will be under us direct command, i never heard of another country who sold their sovereignity lock stock and barrel like south korea did

To be fair, South Korea as a nation exists because of US. It is a protectorate.

About time all the chinese phone makers band together to rollout a global appstore so that there will be a non-US alternative for Google and Apple.
