Just to remind again, that Huawei has spilled out the secret that it Has solutions for getting/making high-end (7nm) chips for its smartphones. Here it is;

"Guo Ping further said that the crackdown on Kirin chips will create some difficulties for the high-end mobile phone business, but believes it can be resolved."

We could conclude that it's also about continuity, so one way perhaps is to work with non-US Samsung line, or even domestic line, so which ways they take the above statement can't mean a disruption lasting more than 6 months from the time stockpiles run out..

Honestly can’t imagine how angry China must be feeling right now and how much the Chinese are going to make the USA (and by extension there allies) suffer when the time comes

Yeah, that is true but sooner or later the USA is going to get it. I mean they are the aggressors in this entire conflict and it is not like the USA economy is good right now (trust me, there stock market is in very deep shit along with the rest of there economy and there tech companies are losing money thanks to Trump). Very soon, something big will hit the USA and a then no amount of begging China is going to save them this time. USA in true depression here we come

Let's put it this way, China won't invade anyone, but China is now less likely to help after all the ill-will wished towards Chinese people. China saved the world after the 2008 recession.

That is why that when the USA finally gets hit by a depression and there dollars become worthless (because they are never going to pay there debts back), China should simply take there hands back and let them burn until the USA is willing to come to the negotiating table under China’s advantage. Also, I am very certain that if the USA falls, lots of countries (even those in Europe) would certainly love to give the USA a good hiding for getting into everyone’s business all the time. There is a lot of pent up anger at the USA and you can bet that not many would consider helping them at all because they are so damn ungrateful for what they have, it is high time they lose it all.

Hi localizer,

That what worried me the most, the competitiveness of Chinese tech, I know the priority is for the 7nm for the 5g base station within 2 years maybe achievable. but what about the consumer gadgets and smartphone.The more people buy your product ,you can build an APPLE like system were you bind them in both software and hardware. The objective of the US ban is isolate Huawei , to reduced its 5g lead so that others may catch up. Even if Harmony OS is introduce who will buy an obsolete tech especially in the west.
