China’s National Blockchain Network Launches International Website
China’s blockchain-based Service Network (BSN), the country’s nationwide blockchain project, has just launched an official international website.

Appearing on Aug. 10, the new english-language BSN website aims to help bring global developers to the project.

Integration with six permissionless blockchains
He Yifan, CEO of Red Date Technology, a local private company and a founding member of the BSN, told Cointelegraph that the new website allows developers to use BSN services and public chain services via the portal.

As part of the new global effort, the BSN now features live integration of six public chains including Ethereum, EOS, Nervos, Tezos, NEO and IRISnet. This allows developers to build decentralized applications (DApps) and run nodes through the data storage and bandwidth at overseas BSN data centers.

Google and AWS are among major BSN partners
According to the website, the BSN project is planning to launch the so-called “Interchain Communication Hub” via IRITA interchain service hub and decentralized network Chainlink in October 2020.

Additionally, the new website features a number of major global tech and blockchain firms as BSN partners. Google and Amazon Web Services are listed as cloud service providers, while Hyperledger is noted as a permissioned blockchain supplier. “We have good support from several of the major cloud service providers because they really like the idea and vision of BSN,” He said.

First piloted in October 2019, China’s BSN network is a government-backed blockchain initiative that was initially positioned to help small to medium-sized businesses build and deploy blockchain apps on permissioned blockchains. The program was officially launched in April 2020 for global commercial use.

Search is an outmoded paradigm. Baidu and Google is the web service model of the past. There’s a reason why Baidu isn’t better. There’s no consumer demand for it to be because does their content and product discovery through other models that they prefer.
A lot of search has shifted from goggle to facebook and amazon, and now to tiktok. That is why facebook is now busy copying tiktok.

By the time Trump bans Tiktok and Wechat, the iPhone 12 would debut and be available in a few weeks.

Chinese should hold off or not buy iPhone especially knowing the possibility of a ban on Chinese apps.

I probably will never buy an iPhone again knowing that Chinese apps can just be banned.

I am also considering leaving the Iphone series for good and may consider getting a top end chinese phone or maybe a samsung at worse since these days, it is very hard for me to trust the quality of American products, I mean look at boeing

None of you all should ever consider buying Apple again.
Even if Tim Cook gurgled Xi Jinping/Ren Zhengfei's nuts, I would still never buy Apple, nor have I ever. That company is founded on making people pay for shit they should never pay for. They were successfully sued in Canada for updating malware into your phone to slow it down coercing you to upgrade. They purposefully make screws in shapes that no regular screwdriver can open so you can't fix simple issues yourself. They tell you your data is not recoverable unless you paid for their cloud storage when random tech guys in little shops can recover it for you. They put code in the phone so that it won't detect the power in new battery, even if it is a genuine Apple battery; it will always tell you the power is depleted unless you get it replaced at Apple so they reset the code. When you have a cable come loose, they lie, telling you you have a bad board and would be better off buying a new device. My friend worked at the Apple "Genius Bar" and said he was trained to make every problem look like you need a new phone/tablet/computer. Apple is built on such levels of greed that it actually qualifies as being evil. I wouldn't buy Apple even if it were sold and became a Chinese company.

And all this is just the surface. There are heaps of tech guys who work on various machines for repairs etc and what they have to say and show with Apple products make them look about as "quality" as the $100 knockoffs that were around those electronics malls in China. Honestly Apple's only hook these days is their OS which a lot of people just have to have. It's akin to talking to some bible thumpers when it comes to the OS topic. Having lost their visionary, Apple has started losing ground when it comes to innovation too. They've literally got nothing available now, no fresh ideas.

Chinese and Korean smartphones introduced narrow AI first for camera and photography, multi lens, mirrored lens true 5-10x zoom, pioneered commercialised level wireless charging, integrated near field comm, facial recognition softwares and hardware, sub-screen fingerprint scanning, even infrared sensors with some "x-ray vision" abilities lol, curved displays, foldable displays. Let's also throw the 5G ecosystem of technologies into the mix. All in the time the iPhone went from one block with Apple chips to another block with some multi lens with Qualcomm, Intel or Samsung chips (whatever they don't use their own because not competitive anymore). Yet Chinese 富二代 idiots still buy Apple because "they need to know I have moneyz".

SMIC says 14nm chips are in mass production and yields are improving-cnTechPost

Chinese chip maker Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) is mass producing 14nm chips and yield is improving, the company said today in response to an investor question online.

The Honor Play4T smartphone released in April is equipped with the Kirin 710A processor, which is using the SMIC's 14nm process.

It is clocked at 2.0GHz and is a downgraded version of the previous Kirin 710. The Kirin 710A represents a breakthrough in Chinese semiconductor chip technology.
On July 16, Honor announced the Honor Tablet 6 and X6, powered by the Kirin 710A processor. The devices are priced from 1,099 yuan ($157).
The Honor Tablet 6 comes with a 10.1-inch screen with 1920×1200 resolution and contrast ratio of 1000:1.
On July 30, Huawei announced the Huawei Changxiang Tablet 2, priced from 1,599 yuan ($230). The device is also powered by the Kirin 710A processor.
