I think this is probably aided by the advanced in ADC/DAC chips recently.

Reports a lab in China has finally created hexagonal diamond. If confirmed, this is really exciting.

Chinese Scientist Wins Bernd T. Matthias Prize for Superconducting Research

Chinese scientist Jin Changqing, a research professor at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been awarded the Bernd T. Matthias Prize, the highest international honor in the field of superconducting materials exploration.

Jin was recognized for a series of pioneering discoveries in novel superconducting materials, becoming the only recipient worldwide in 2026 to receive this distinction.

According to the award committee, Jin's work has made multiple breakthrough contributions to the discovery of new superconductors through advanced high-pressure synthesis and characterization techniques. His research spans a wide range of superconducting systems, including cuprate-based, iron-based, hydrogen-rich, elemental and topological compound superconductors.

Established in 1989, the prize is presented once every three years and is awarded to one to three international scholars who have made outstanding contributions to the exploration and discovery of superconducting materials. (CGTN)

They said domestic CNC machines are now used in all the major aerospace projects like large airliner and aeroengine.

Not a surprise to all of us that see Kede being used in that role.

Chinese CNC industry is already very advanced and dominating world market
KEDE CNC, Beijing Jingdiao, Huazhong CNC and GSK are among the best in China (and the world)

millimeter scale Hexagonal Diamond has already been synthed by CAS team back in summer 2025, papar also published on Nature, the team was nominated for National Science and Technology Awards. I believe China has more than one team working on this.

Over the last 10 years, an average of 10.0% of Tsinghua graduates left the country to study abroad. 8.5% of the class of 2025 leaving to study abroad is notably below the 10-year average.
