Xiaomi Releases First Intellectual Property, Over 29,000 Patents Worldwide!
Xiaomi hosts a huge ecosystem with thousands of products from smartphones to home products. Accordingly, it has patents for so many unique products. Today, Xiaomi has released its first intellectual property white paper. Currently, Xiaomi has entered 12 technological fields of research and development, including 5G technology, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, reaching 98 sub-segments.
Xiaomi Has More Than 29,000 Product Patents
Wang Xiang, Partner and President of Xiaomi Corporation, presented the company’s property rights to public for the first time. He stated that Xiaomi will continue to offer best-in-class technological innovations to users by offering various solutions. Company aims to achieve a long-term and sustainable inaugural intellectual property partnership and ultimately promote the inclusion of technology for benefit of the wider community. Xiaomi has achieved significant success in the field of veinaugural intellectual property in these areas.
As of September 30, 2021, the company ranked 13th worldwide on its self-declared 5G patent list. As of September 30, 2022, Xiaomi has received more than 29,000 patents covering more than 60 countries and regions around the world. After 12 years of development, it has expanded its footprint in more than 100 markets worldwide. The company’s activities cover smartphones, smart TVs, smart home appliances, wearables and internet services.
If we take the example of MIUI, as of September 30, 2022, Xiaomi holds more than 7,700 patents worldwide for MIUI and software functions. Xiaomi also holds more than +700 patents in smartphone charging technology, including but not limited to basic circuit architecture, safety management and transmission optimization.
