This happened a lot in the days of muzzle loading muskets.
That’s not even the worst that can happen. It is entirely possible to accidentally load the ball before the powder. Any mistake with a breech loading tank gun is tame in comparison.

That's what I'm saying: movement limited to roads. Cannot really do any offensive maneuvers. The geography of Tibetan plateau has many flat lands, which is very different from the Indian side of the Himalaya. There are many roads in Xinjiang and Tibet at above 4,000 to 5000 metres. Tanks can be driven up to some of the borders.
We have seen some of PLA's tanks in photo and video at the line of control in the mountain during the last confrontation with India.
Himalaya base camp is located at altitude of 5,150 metre (16,900 ft), and is accesable by normal cars via Highway 318. South of Himalaya in Nepal, the only access is by trekking.
They are always transported by highway or railways, especially railways no matter they are in East China lowland plain or West China plateau. Once they are in operational area they are off roads, also regardless of whether in East or West China. That's what I'm saying: movement limited to roads. Cannot really do any offensive maneuvers.

The rods won't be able to stay in the barrel once the breech is opened, it will slid out by itself, nearly. The rods are locked together to form a long rod the lenthg of the whole barrel. You can't even push the shell into the barrel if you do forget to remove it.I can already see private potato shoot the round while the rod is in the barrel cause he is a dumbass and frogot to do a check up.
But are they really phasing out the ZTZ99A?...Really? There are still units with the older ZTZ99 still out there.
They are giving the 99As to units with 99s and likewise giving the 99s down to the 96 units that aren't getting Type 100s soon. So they are really trying to phase out the older 96s and 88s.But are they really phasing out the ZTZ99A?...Really? There are still units with the older ZTZ99 still out there.

Do we know if the 99Bs are new builds, upgraded 99As, or a combination of both? This year (2026) a large number of new equipment is entering service with the Army.
Sergeant First Class Ding Hui's company is currently equipped with ZTZ-99A's.
Ding Hui said "Next, my company will be receiving new equipment in batches".
99Bs as of right now seems to be a mix of rebuilds and new ones. Type 99 is essentially a completely different tank to Type 99A and hence is impossible to "upgrade" it into a Type 99A or B.Do we know if the 99Bs are new builds, upgraded 99As, or a combination of both?
If upgrades, will the OG 99s also be upgraded?
