how good is the sight on that machine gun? night vision capabilities and all?On the training range.
Is China still producing the type 99 and equipping more forces with it?
Wikipedia still list 600 type 99 and 600 type 99A for years.
Yes, but at relatively slow but stable rate.
It is likely that it no longer makes the news like it used to , at the pace of about 1 to 2 brigade a year ever since 2014 , it is likely about 30% to about 40% of PLA heavy brigades are now 99A equipped , just about every army group has few brigade of them,so it not that big of a news any more.
But the type 99 without the A is likely to have ceased production since the factories moved to 99A production , the same goes for type 96.
The only new tank that is going in PLA right now are 99A , 15 .
