What the difference Type 99G Type 98G and Type 96G ?

Type 98G is another name for the Type 99 initial version. Type 99G is a modified version of the Type 99 and the Type 96G is a modernised version of the Type 96.

The last picture is older than the other pictures. I think its type 99 but im not sure.

The chassis seems different from the type 99. Not sure if it could be the blocky variant as that one had a new chassis.

Well, there've been photos of its turret, thought I suppose they weren't terribly clear.

To the other posters, these really don't look like Type-99's.

Here it is without all the camouflage netting. Of course quality could be a lot better, but they probably do want to show everything just yet.

the light tank has bigger bustle and a above the bustle is a some sort pf panel.it look like the tank incorporate comparmentization,similiar to abram.also it got a potential to upgunned to 120mm gun.

most western tanks pay trumendous attention to crews survivability and comfortability,reason,is that training tank crews are very expensive,second there experiences are needed in modern tank battle.
result is that western tank are far better protected (and more expensive)than soviet (or chinese) tanks.
by contrast, soviet traditionaly chose quantity over quality ,or mass production over crews protection.result is that most of crews protection were rudimentary.(to cut cost)
most of the western AFV we withness are design to fight on. axlike afgahnistan,syria,or any of the middle east arena.isymmetric warfare or high intensity insurgency

First, we should remember T72 began to develop in 1967.Its rival is Leopard I,M60 and chieftain.But in Afgahn,syria or Iraq,T72 met M1 which was designed in late 1970s and the latest modified version is about 1985.You'd better to think about the 10 or 20 years gap.If soviet union did not collapsed,M1 tank may have to be faced with Black T-80um2.

Second, in Afgahn and Syria,T72 was destroyed by RPGs or Modern antitank missiles.And they hit from side.Even modern tanks cannot resist such an attack.We have videos that M1A2 was damaged by RPG in Iraq.Fotunately the crews were safe,but we should not forget it is also a tank modified in late 1990s,while the T72 are all old ones.

Third,in afgahn,Syria and Iraq,US-led forces had a powerful air superiority.

The suspension on the Chinese tank shown above always look collapsed when the tank is on a flatbed trailor or rail car. When the tank is on the ground, the suspension seem to jack up. This tells me it has on-the-fly adjustable electro-hydraupneumatic suspension. This in turn suggest to me it is not a light tank because there is considerable weight penalty associated this type of suspension. I think it is at least a medium weight, maybe 50 ton class, MBT.

But why select type-85 (83?) 60 plus calibre long 105mm rifle gun,not 125mm tank gun?
the tank could be variant of MBT-3000,MBT-3000 may be export version.

I am not sure. Is it certain the tank has a 105 mm gun?
