Yes. That's why the confusion. I go to threads in other forums that say "99A" and the tanks in the pics are not this one.

The "ZTZ99A2" is the ZTZ99A. There was never an A2 designation. Not even for the land-monster that is presented here. Picture related: ZTZ99A in the left corner of the screen

Also, the new Active Defense System somehow involves a MMW radar as well as still being laser-based (note the yellwo triangle in the last pic). Nothing is confirmed so far, though.

The commander periscope is still there. Notice the other pictures. It is now larger and looks like from the Leclerc, of some sort.
