New PLA army uniform?

I am sure that they will switch to low visibility signs, emblems and patches in time of an actual conflict. these are all superficial stuff that does not affect the quality of the training and can be easily taken care of when it is the time. Other nations exercise wearing "high visibility" patches too.

I am also in the belief that the PLA is fully aware of the situation. If amateurs like us notice it, the professional should know about it...

My thoughts exactly.

Copied from post #1602 by Popeye (page 161) in the US Military Photos & Videos thread.

The above photos show sides and front views of the US soldiers in the same operation "during a security patrol in Nad Ali, Helmand province, Afghanistan on July 19, 2014 (quoted). Do you see US flag patches anywhere?

I think they usually wear the flag patch on the right arm - and your photo only shows left side... you can ALMOST see the flag patch on the last picture on the soldier's right arm.

Nevertheless, I agree, they can easily remedy this in actual combat situation even for emblem that's not removable - a soldier with a black marker...you get my drift.

Ultra in the case of those photos there is actually almost no chance of a Flag. as The troops in the photos are USMC. Marine regulations don't allow Flags on uniforms they may have one on say a pack or Plate carrier but that is based on unit not regulations.
Now in the last picture we see a Marine in FROG ( Fire resistant Organisational Gear), Frog and MARPAT both have shoulder pockets held on by velcro What we are likely seeing on his right arm is just the pocket flap.

looks like the Standard issue Helmet has been modified with side rails and a NOD mount. There common for modern Western Helmets
opscoresentury.jpg
This Ops Core Sentry model is a prime western example for comparison. The Rails on the side generally Accept M1913 rail interfaces like those found commonly on weapons like the M4 Carbine This allows mounting of Lasers, Flashlights and even cameras. But also note the Differences The Ear Flap on the Sentry and ACH is cut back compared to the PLA model and the Suspension on the western type seems better or at least that's how it looks on the second Trooper in the line His Chin is pointing to the Sky well his helmet lays flat means the helmet is loose and the brim is almost over his eyes. If they can fix that then it would be very interesting to see where they go next. In the US and UK the next generation of helmets have already been shown to include additional attachments including both ballistic visors an mandible creating a very "Master Chief" Appearance.MasterSentry.jpg
This is the Same Model of helmet but fitted with a ballistic visor and mandible.
This is the Revision Battleskin Cobra which has been seen sported by both US and British Army Troops as there intended future Combat helmet system

Perfect for use by Machine gun turret shooters and infantry in high threat AOR's.

The Visor has a Anti-fog coating and can easily be flipped open to vent fog. the base of the helmet with Mandible is open allowing ventilation and both the visor and mandible are removable as well as having "Vent" positions where they are partially open allowing fogging to clear and heat to dissipate. And some are suggesting adding a forced air cooling system down the line.
The biggest issue I see is actually aiming a individual weapon because of it's bulk the mandible prevents getting a normal cheek weld. For night fighting that's not a issue. the helmet accepts NODs and a Laser pointer can be mounted to a carbine, but day shooting needs some inventive shooting.
