Hi,

I am Xavier, I live in France but lived 6 years in the US.
I've been a long time lurker and finally decided to register.
I know this forum from Bd popeye who I know from militaryphotos

I worked for a french defense company, and I just started a website about naval defense and world navies. I also attend several large and small defense exhibitions each year and I share my pictures here when I can.

I enjoyed reading this forum for the past couple years because of the quality of the discussions and unique information on PLAN or China Navy

Just saw this thread so I hope you all won't begrudge my late introduction.

Cardsharp 24, Chinese born Canadian citizen. Know No_name and Siegecrossbow from another forum, enjoy the unique flavour of this forum, and admire the iron hand under which the peace is kept.

Hi Fellow Defenders of the Free World, I am an Air Force Brat, my first love was airplanes, my Dad was a tac pilot, in airlift and later an IP in the C-130. I'm also a civilian pilot, though no longer active. We had a Cessna 172 on the farm here in Central Illinois. I grew up in a wonderfull time, love flying, cars, and motorcycles, all the shooting sports. I am old an poor now, I'm a 1956 model. Along with aircraft of all types, I love submarines, don't ask me why? I grew up reading Air Force Magazine, so I do have a little prejudicial bias, love and appreciatte military people of all stripes and just following along on this forum, I already have a greater appreciation for the other players in this game of life. As I said, I am an Air Force Brat, had my fifth birthday on Okinawa, so have a great fondness and remembrance of Asians and the Far East. I had a nanny one day a week and her name was Yashiko, remember her as very sweet and kind, this has always lent an interest in all things Asian. I am particularly interested in the J-20 and Pak-Fa at present, as well as submarines and of course aircraft carriers. I hope through these forums to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for my fellow citizens as well as broaden my own perspective by seeing things from the aspect of others. I subscribe to a former presidents "peace through strength" but realize that kindness and mutual respect are the marks of all trully great men and women of all nations. Chaio.
