Re: New members introductions - New members Introduce yourselves

Hello everyone.

Im from Spain and during the last 16 months i have been gathering information and working on a Visual Basic application that intends to be kind of a War Videogame. Initially it will be focused on Naval and Air warfare. Starting with very limited resources the user will be able to build ships selecting type, materials, countermeasures, electronics, a wide range of weapons, missiles...etc, and buy any kind of aircraft.
Having said this i ask you to dont take it as some kind of "advertising" since in no way I intend to make any money with it. For now is just a hobbie about a subject in which im really interested, and it keeps me entertained.

The reason why after reading so many forums i decided to register in this one is that i thought it could be interesting to be part of the discussions, to disagree when necessary, and learn when more experienced people corrects me.

Regarding China (i dont forget the main subject of the forum :p) i have been following the works on the aircraft carrier they are reconstructing and the amazing growing of its naval and air forces. However, there is not a lot of reliable information in internet about its military. While its easy to find Raytheon pdf's about any of their systems, almost every information about the chinese starts with "it is believed to have...", "it is expected to...", "they claim it can...", and that is another reason why I appreciate this forum for being a reliable source.

And to finish my introduction i would ask you to excuse my english. I think it wont be a problem to understand me, but im well aware that i have many mistakes :p

Regards.

Welcome to the forum Fingolfin! What are you talking about regarding your English skills? They are perfect! There are a lot of people here in the states who couldn't write as clearly as you can.

If you want more information about the Chinese military sinodefence is the right place to come. We get our first hand information from Chinese military websites / forums and we often get "leaked" information not available to the general public.

Hello, I am from India and i am regular in DFI. Anyone from DFI here?

I like Chinese and Chinese food, however i dont like the Communist Party. I hope i am allowed to have that view.

Nice to be in this forum and i hope to learn more about China.

Also wont it be better to have a separate introduction category?

Olny 2 posts and getting banned, that's some record I am reading.

I wander the reason whether is because the ID name (which I have no idea whether offends); or the "i dont like the Communist Party" part? Hope it is not because the latter one, what reputation SDF would get then? - (man, those words comes from a "station lefty" like me?)
