How to stop staring at my laptop screen?

Hi, I just have one wish, to unplug from the web and come back into the real life! Where is my blue pill?
I'm a 21 years old massagist from NY, and when I come back after work, tiered from standing all day long, I just turn on my laptop, and suddenly, it's 2 am. How do you manage to keep your offline life, when you have a pc at home?
My obssesion is icq, blogs, myspace and any web place where you can meet interesting people. Forums are new to me, but I thought to give it a try.

ps: I'm a total newbee at forums, so I'm sorry if posted in the wrong place, just got here and saw this one.. Please be kind to show me the right place where you can just talk with people.

Hello, everything you see anywhere is propaganda. Oh wait, I mean welcome.

I manage my private life by well... living? I go internet in my free time. You probably keep thinking too much that online people will miss you or that if you leave you have to tell them.

But actually, just be evil and ignore those thoughts. Noone can stop you from vanishing from internets. It probably has happened to you before if you're online all the time that a person you know who talked you each day just went poof. you don't die from it.

Re: New members introductions - New members Introduce yourselves

Hi, I'm a 21 year old Australian-American. Racially, I am Chinese. I wouldn't say I have any real experience in this area, but I am quite interested in it. A little about me; in one year I will have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Ohio State University (USA). I've been to the site many times during the past week or so and have been reading a lot of threads and posts and finally decided to sign up and post some myself.

Re: New members introductions - New members Introduce yourselves

Hi all! I'm an American graduate student in international relations with a big interest in Asian affairs and the Chinese military. As my name suggests I think of myself as a geographer in that I think in terms of territory, populations, distances, climates, resources, that sort of thing. But I can get interested in almost anything, and consider all disciplines important to understanding an issue or country.

I've never been to China but would love to, especially Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing, and the south. I don't like cold climates very much. I've been reading this forum for over a year and consider it a valuable source of English-language information, though I don't have much to contribute since my specialty is mostly politics and governance.

i dont think it matters, my specialty is politics and governance as well, war is an extention of politics afterall, if you dont think in political terms you'll never understand why sh*t happens
