well, I really don't like the term super-10. It's phrased by the Russians. I think it just came from calling JF-17 "super-7". Basically, we know J-10 will be upgraded throughout its lifetime. Super-10 is probably referring to a large upgrade from the current J-10 to a J-10 with upgaded engine, weapon suite, airframe and electronics.

According to this escript from the interview with the PAF Air Chief;

Q. What are the options available for PAF to enhance its fleet, and what new fighter types are expected to join PAF in the next five years?

Ans. As I have mentioned earlier, we are keeping all available options open and wants a well balanced multirole jet fighter aircraft. We will be inducting 18 new F-16C/Ds and most probably will use our option of 18 more after the first squadron will be operational. We will also be inducting 26 MLU F-16A/B as well as our existing fleet of 34 aircraft will also undergo the MLU upgrades. 150 JF-17 Thunders and 36 F-10A aircraft will also be joining PAF, and more F-10s can be expected. Most probably we will also purchase FC-20 fighter aircraft from China

Air Chief Marshall Tanvir Mahmood Ahmad very clearly differentiates J-10A from "FC-20"; what could FC-20 possibly be? Going along with the PAF's new habit of trying to keep things as common as possible - could it be a new version of J-10?

信息化训练平台,建起了电子战训练场,以提高部队在强电磁袭扰下的作战能力。

  记者在演练现场看到,虽没有硝烟弥漫,没有炮声隆隆,但静谧的“无形战场”却进行着更为复杂和激烈的电磁干扰与反干扰——空中战机与地面对抗设施相结合,各种有源和无源电子发射装备相结合,雷达干扰与通信干扰相结合……模拟“敌”复杂电磁干扰状态下的防空体系,使战斗更加激烈和精彩。电磁在空地间密集穿梭,荧屏上杀机四伏。地面防空兵、雷达兵和通信兵等部队正在进行激烈的空地互动电子对抗,监测评估系统对空地电磁环境实时监控,并进行量化分析和评判胜负。

  “信息化的训练手段使战斗力的生成模式发生巨变,仅电子战训练场就可为飞行员提供相当于20次以上的实战经验。”据空军军训部门有关专家介绍,此次演练运用信息化手段整合训练资源,提升了训练质量和效益,催生了一批新训法、战法,推进了训练手段向更高层次发展。

"J-10 Biggest weakness,aside from navigation and targeting sensor,was Chinese aircraft industries inability to fabricate large composite material for aircraft,substitute it with aluminum,this raise doubt if J-10 ever out turn F-16C ,or JXX program"

F-16C doesn't use that much composite either, much of the composite there goes to the surfaces like the wings. The same should go with the J-10. With JSF and F-22 there is more composite used in the structural level, especially with the JSF.

Nothing wrong with it. I don't thrust composite either when it comes to long term structural integrity.

I suggest you either buy the latest issue of Combat Aircraft magazine or open the link.the article written John Golan was highly informative.
China aircraft industries to date able to fabricate small composite material for tail fin or rudder.by contrast ,the entire Lavi upper fuselage was fabricate from single large pieces of composite material in Grueman plant in long island.
JH-7A according to the report from Chinese magazine also use composite material in tail fin,rudder and some minor part of the aircraft ,saving more than 500+ lbs weight.
In this area of technology,the US is way ahead of europe ,russia and israel.

That article is already posted in this forum. And many people here and in other forums have noted incorrect information in the article.
