the market is only so large & Huawei has concentrated all its effort battling others in this Sedan/SUV market from 200-500k. BBA isn't going to lose all its market share over night. Its product isn't good enough to challenge Yangwang. Once everyone solves ADAS, which will happen in 2 yrs, what is its play?

anyways, another showcase of BYD tech in action. btw, BYD produces everything in house

Hmm, I have to agree with this. China tech so far ahead that American companies will basically end up forcing tech transfers for market share
but he said, flow will be from Chinese firms to US firms means tech transfer. but you are saying, US companies will basically end up forcing tech transfer ... two different statements .. please elaborate

I mean it's not forcing tech transfer, but if Chinese firms want to gain market share, it's going to end up having to do it like these Ford/CATL deal where it license tech

at least until the IRA gravy train gets disbanded

Electrification isn't just about energy efficiency or great power or envronment, but also safety & driving experience

good article here on BYD's T5DM motor and electrical system that makes it stand out. It's the first truck to have brake by wire. Has it's own electric power steering & electric parking brakes. It's braking systems reacts 4x quicker than traditional mechanical braking. It's EPS is more sensitive than mechanical steering column

And of course, BYD produces all this in house

Apparently, people are driving their leopard 5 excessively fast. Great advertising opportunity for byd.
If I was in charge of these Chinese companies I wouldn‘t do it. If you don‘t transfer the technology they will remain behind for some time that is time you can use to expand your market outside of the West.
