For those unaware, the Mini Cooper was a British car manufactured from 1959-2000 before it was acquired by BMW and with an all-new design in 2000. Even or perhaps especially under BMW, Mini leans heavily into its heritage as expression of British popular culture, including "Union Jack"-pattern taillights in recent years. This 2024 EV model will be the fourth generation of the BMW-era Minis and obviously the first to be done in collaboration with GWM.

Because IMO, charging speed is the most lacking in BYD cars compared to other brands. Their best cars can only charge up to 150kW with a single charger compared to 200-300+kW in Xpeng, Tesla, Hyundai, Kia etc.
