huawei & chery cooperation will be interesting to see. This current model of huawei working with different OEMs long term is not sustainable imo, especially when they have to worry about competing against other huawei cars and want to promote their own cars (in the case of chery).

5 millionth BYD NEV is a N7

new 120 km pure electric ranged Frigate 05 is going for under 120k RMB. BYD just manages to continue forcing prices lower

On the software front it can be done. Google makes the Pixel series and supplies OS as well as other software to the whole android ecosystem. It depends on how much emphasis Huawei places on software vs cars. If it emphasizes the software as Google does then it shouldn't be an issue.

BYD selling batteries to competitors is a bigger issue. That's a bit more like an Intel vs. TSMC situation as cars are a big revenue source for BYD, not just batteries.

the problem is that Huawei ends up turning its "partners" to just manufacturers of its products. It's no longer Seres product. It's a huawei product now. Whereas for BYD partners, you wouldn't even know they used BYD motor in many cases. Do average buyer in Germany know that their tesla model y uses blade battery?

Anyways, Galaxy E8 sneak peaks. Should come out before the end of the year. looks pretty good, but this is a crowded space
