The Geely/Renault JV is old news, discussed here already. Even Reuters said just a finalization of an announcement from March.

I believe it was discussed here that ICE cars will still have their place especially in developing countries. Their less exciting nature means ICEs become a weaker differentiator and thus makes sense to pool resources to cut costs and increase profitability

So far, it looks like BYD and Eve Energy are the biggest movers, others all have had relatively small changes compared to 2022.
Seems CATLs growth is slowing down. BYD having explosive growth as always and they will only grow even more this coming year. Wont be surprise if they catch up and even overtake CATL in a year or 2.

Sometimes I have to scratch my head why NIO hasn't done better, especially in Europe. After EL7, ES7 and ET5 also got 5 stars in Euro NCAP.

China will probably export more than 4.3 million vehicles this year, and will certainly be the largest auto export in the world.
First-half shipments leapt 75.7% from the same period last year to 2.14 million vehicles, according to a report Tuesday by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Overseas shipments of NEVs — a category that consists mainly of pure electric and hybrid models — more than doubled to 534,000 vehicles, accounting for nearly a quarter of the total exports, the CAAM report showed.
