This incident should serve as a reminder to foreign companies to increase training on racism and weed out white worshipping culture.

It should NOT however be a pretext for the complete destruction of BMW in China. That would send a shocking signal to foreign investors that you can lose billions over actions you can't really control. The result would be bad for China's economy overall.
It’s not gonna be easy. white worshipping has been going on ages. I remember my dad telling me a story that happened more than 20 years when he first visited San Francisco on business and he was eating in this hk dim sum restaurant. The waitress pushing those carts were pretty rude to him and barely smiled or even looked at him. he thought it was just typical rude hk waitress so he didn’t care. Keep in mind my dad spoke both English and mandarin.

But later on he noticed the same waitress treating the nearby table of white folks very well. Even spend more than 10mins explaining what each dim sum dish is and smiling throughout. It was complete opposite attitude. He used to teach us to have a backbone 骨气, never do what she did, treat your own race like shit but worship others. People won’t respect you for that deep down. Sad to see it happen even in chinese territory itself today.

not sure if posted already but a British guy visited the autoshow and took video of many different booths. All were pretty packed but byd seem the busiest. Funny enough he was surprised why bmw booth was so busy. Not sure if he knew what happened at that time.

Hongqi coming out with a few NEV models and plenty to export 12,500 cars this year

More photos of the BYD electric pickup showing up. to be launched later this yr most likely

Seagull to be launched on 26th. That's quite soon after the unveiling. Maybe they will start delivery in Q2 if this happens.
interesting that they are spreading announcement across Shanghai motor show to pick up more press

The truck looks good so far though a bit too reminiscent of the F150. Hopefully it's a EREV.

Popular Russian YouTuber on Chinese cars also visited the recent carshow. He took a close look on many of them, probably trying to make sales for his clients

he has many popular videos on Chinese EVs, this one in 2021 have almost 5 million views now and many comments. Mostly positive ones from Russians, amazed at the progress of Chinese auto industry while bemoaning their own. Definitely less condescending comments than the ones from westerners.
