The original 车fans comments are the following

I don't think this is looking good for many Chinese EV makers. The issue is weak demand due to COVID. The gov't will need to issue incentives I think.

It's not clear to me what the eventual size of the production will be once fully ramped, but previous rumors were 350k a year in total. I think it's possible they will go higher than that since they are already going to be up to 20k per month sometimes later this year with just phase 1.

We know more about this now. Expected to add 400k in phase 2. So over 600k a year in total. These BYD projects always end up bigger than the original estimates!

A 30B RMB JV between FAW & Audi for NEVs (2nd photo) to start production by 2024. A 13.5B RMB JV with BYD Fudi (1st photo) to start production by 06/2023. 1st phase 15 GWh, total 45 GWh, enough for 1 million cars. They may not be fully connected. As in, I'm not sure BYD is actually supply batteries for Audi at this point, but rather for other FAW brands.

this has been speculated for a while now. A MOU was signed in February, but it's taken a while to actually sign the agreement with UzAuto. It's pretty logical to be building DM-i models in Central Asia because this can supply markets in Eurasia region and West Asia that probably don't have widely available charging network.

Read on this a little more. BYD seems to be utilizing this JV to create products and services that work better for Central Asia and EEU countries. Also interesting they made mention of natural resources there. I wonder if this will secure certain mining rights for BYD.
