85.4 kwh indicates its not the regular han ev but the founder 4wd or jade 4wd edition.

It's also clearly targeted at cars like the Audi A6, with a similar price and size. It really shows the confidence that BYD has in their product. Whether it'll pay off I'm still a little uncertain

now, the prices are unveiled. It turned out the Han/Tang prices were higher than originally revealed. They are both 72k EUR, not cheap. Atto 3 are selling for 38k EUR.

Destinations: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France & UK
Interesting that they are bringing mostly pure EV offerings overseas instead of their PHEV models. The PHEV market seems less competitive globally.

BYD is coming out with a new DM design, might be a major upgrade to DM-p. Should probably come out next year.

Saw some comment regarding BYD's Europe launch.

The main product here is Atto 3. It's priced to sell in Europe. Han/Tang are priced like luxury cars. They are probably not going to be exported in large numbers. But given Tang's success in Norway, Han/Tang might surprise here. Maybe they will later reduce prices if they can't get the desired sales numbers. Maybe they start with such a high price to just set the market expectations that BYD is a high end brand.

The likely star for Europe is Dolphin. That will be launched later. It is better for those small European streets. This will also be very popular in ASEAN countries. Looking to exceed 50k a month.

Song+ DM-i will be on sales in Europe and South America next year. Looking to hit 80k a month here.

Seal will be pushed to the European market next year. Looking to hit 30k a month with Seal.

Aside from this, we know that BYD has over 100k orders from oversea. There are already 1500 Atto 3 sent to Australia and another 800 on the way. The first 200 song+ DM-i already being ordered in Brazil. Will deliver in December. Have started taking orders from another 250 starting today.

In HK, they've gotten 3000 orders for dolphin and Seal.

well looks like Tesla will make more cars in china for export. Probably more sent by rail to Europe, through BRI I’d imagine. Shanghai gigafactory seems to be the easiest and smoothest to manage. why is Germany so against Tesla?? With the energy crisis and all this red tape, what do they hope to accomplish? It’s like china with zero COVID but they are not tying to save lives.

Because it is competition for Audi, Mercedes, and BMW. Add to that Tesla's poor record with labor unions and regulations in general and you get a recipe for discontent in a place like Germany.
How is tesla going to send cars to Europe from China by rail. The rail connection through Russia is not allowed.
Chinese brands like byd nio, Geely and others are going to crush Germany's BBA anyway.
