Anyone have that picture about BYD's estimated production numbers and factory completion dates? Wonder if we're on schedule
Well, I posted this a while back.

It hasn't really gone according to the plan so far

They were 7k less than what this guy projected for July. Also, Xi'an has been building more cars than 55k (I think it hit 67k). Changsha probably has been less than that. The posts below that also has factory plant times and such. Things are fluid. If they can buy the Stellantis plan and get it retrofitted quickly, they can hit 300k in a few months. At the very least, 250k by end of the year should be easily doable.

From the driven, it looks like there is such a demand for EVs that people were just putting down deposits with no clue how good the car is and then are pleasantly surprised at the build quality and interior

Nice to see that one of the most anti-China countries in the world will cast all of that aside and buy a quality product at a good price when they see one. Let's see if Japan buys in as well! Certainly they have no qualms about playing Chinese video games judging by the explosive success of some titles there in recent years, but perhaps they'll be more nationalistic when it comes to buying giant hunks of metal that cost tens of thousands of dollars vs small little digital purchases.

I think it has something to do with people can buy these company’s stock and have done good research about the company and product. Xpeng and NIO were more popular with american investors than BYD before BYD finally became a top DOG in auto industry this year.

@MrCrazyBoyRavi well BYD is partly owned (sorry its 10% share BUT the wording is the standard language use in defining BYD) by Warren Buffett that alone may assuage their ego, as their saying goes "behind BYD success is an American"....lol can't beat them especially on optics.

He's excited that Tesla will use CATL's new LFMP Kirin batteries.
I don't think CATL's Kirin and magnesium batteries are the same thing. CATL's magnesium battery is called M3P.

XPeng's G9 will be open for pre-order on August 10. It has China's first 800V charging system and a 5-minute charge can give it a 200 km (120 miles) range. It is designed for the international market and looks really good.

Geely's EV brand Geometry to use Huawei HarmonyOS in new model

...
HarmonyOS, Huawei's mobile operating system, is designed to seamlessly integrate the phone's apps with the vehicle's system.

In the case of navigation, for example, after users turn on navigation on a HarmonyOS-equipped phone, they can have the progress of navigation synced to the in-car HarmonyOS system without additional action when entering a vehicle using the system.

Huawei released HarmonyOS 3 on July 27, which supports the collaboration of 12 smart devices including printers, smart glasses, and in-car systems.
