I was watching a clip of Eric Schmidt for a couple of weeks ago talking about China/US competition and he was saying that China might have an advantage of AV market. It's probably a good thing for Chinese EV makers that smart people involved with US decision makers don't understand how far ahead the Chinese EV/AV market is right now.
While, AI and semiconductor are important industries in the 21st century, I would think that auto industry is still the foremost important industry of a country's economic/industrial strength.
So this is something that could be worrisome for Chinese automakers in the future as I'm sure American politicians will use national security as an excuse to reduce the presence of Chinese cars in America.

BYD international expansion is quite aggressive in 2023. They will enter the Korean market with BYD Han EV
BYD semiconductor continues to make good progress with new SiC module claiming to be 30% higher power. I'm sure there is a lot of hype here.
It would be a great thing for BYD if customers think of Seal as Model 3/Audi A4 comparable, since it is a lot cheaper.

Battery factories's first phase of 15 GWh will enter production in July.
Car factory will start production in Q4, could fall 1/2 months off target
Zhengzhou.
6/19, signed new deal (not in previous charts I showed) with Zhengzhou gov't for a 30 GWh blade battery factory.
5/16, phase 2 car factory was signed. Initial phase of 400k year production was is supposed to enter production either in December of early next year. Phase 2 will add another 600k yearly production on top of that. So, 1 million cars a year out of Zhengzhou!
