Ah finally, the car that I am waiting for, the BYD Seal. Does anybody know the official price of the car?
240K Rmb in China. It's about 20% cheaper than Model 3. Will try to test drive it once the quarantine is over in Shanghai.
Come on byd please release a hot hatchback something akin to a Ford focus 2018 or so.

On March 29, a "new energy all-electricity powered (新能源纯电动)" tourist boat, "Yangtze Three Gorge-1", set sail for her first operation cruise in Yichang, Hubei province. It sets the example for speeding up replacing ICE powered boats with new energy ones in inland waterways.
This boat is the world's largest, most advanced in its kind so far. It recharges to full in 6 hours and has a cruise range of 100km. Recharged by the clean electricity (presumbly generated by the three gorge hydro power station), this boat can save 530 tonnes of power fuel every year and cut more than 1600 tonnes of polluting exhaust.
Yangtze Three Gorge-1 has a designed capacity of 1300 passengers. It is 100 meters long and as tall as a 4 story building. The boat is powered by batteries in 15 separated groups, with the total capacity of 7500 kWh. These batteries are made by CATL (宁德时代).
In 2018, China Yangtze Power (长江电力) started a project to promote electricity powered boats in Yangtze river. This boat was started building in Dec, 2020. One year later, it started trial sail in Dec, 2021.

Tesla said they expect more than 1.4 million deliveries in 2022. Considering their sales were like half of BYD in January I'm thinking theres a high chance BYD overtakes Tesla this year

The energy densities of next gneration LFP batteries from SVOLT and Gotion High-Tech (aka Guoxuan) start to approach ternary lithium batteries'. Gotion High-Tech is planning to build a 200 GWh (enough for approximately 3.5-4 million passenger EVs) battery factory in the U.S. and claims that they can manufacture the high density LFP batteries as cheaply as lead-acid batteries.
BYD sells 104,878 NEVs in March, up 333% year-on-year

BYD sold 104,878 NEVs in March, up 333 percent year-on-year and up 18.8 percent from 88,283 vehicles in February.
That includes 104,338 passenger cars, and 540 commercial vehicles, the company said in an filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today.
Among new energy passenger vehicles, BYD sold 53,664 pure electric vehicles in March, up 229 percent from 16,301 units a year earlier. It sold 50,674 plug-in hybrids in March, up 615 percent from 7,085 units a year earlier.

In the automotive section, BYD will focus on pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle businesses in the future, it said, adding that it will continue with the production and supply of fuel vehicle parts.

The company produced 106,118 new energy passenger cars and 540 new energy commercial vehicles in March. The production of new energy passenger vehicles included 54,684 pure electric vehicles and 51,434 plug-in hybrids.
The company's total installed capacity of NEV power batteries and energy storage batteries in March was about 5.353 GWh, up 16 percent from 4.615 GWh in February.
