Chinese cars now get 5-star in Euro-NCAP consistently.
Last year, E-NCAP representatives underlined that Chinese manufacturers were anxious to prove their relevance to European buyers. Euro NCAP crash-tested nine models from the Middle Kingdom. They’ve all got five stars. In December this year, Euro NCAP evaluated the safety of five more Chinese cars. Four of them got five stars, and a single model achieved a four-star result.

China can circumvent EU's EV tariff with hybrid EVs.
Companies such as BYD, Geely and state-owned SAIC have been ramping up their hybrid exports to the EU, mainly because these are not subject to the EU's tariffs. Hybrid cars use both electric batteries and internal combustion engines.

Talking about hybrids, the just launched Geely Galaxy Starship 7 PHEV (images below) has a range of 1,420 km (approximately 1,000 km/600 miles practically), with a starting price of $13,700.
