GAC should have been "Aito" but committed suicide with 11:0 vote against HIMA. GAC at the moment is in deep trouble. If it were not a Guangdoing SOE, this second chance would have less likely happened. I am not against GAC in any way, for Guangdong was my second home. But what GAC did to themselves is on par with what SAIC did vis-a-vis HIMA. SAIC boss was fired and the new boss just turned 180 degrees. It looks like the infamous 11-0 voting saved GAC boss ars.......
Huawei has added partnership again, this time in a new brand with GAC
Keep in mind that huawei ADAS and branding is very expensive. That’s why all the huawei cars are in the 250k+ market. The more huawei brands, the worse they all do.GAC should have been "Aito" but committed suicide with 11:0 vote against HIMA. GAC at the moment is in deep trouble. My take is, for both GAC and SAIC, it is too little too late. 2025 is going to be a bloody year in the China car markets.
Same will happen to semiconductors, there are a lot of stuff happening that only people in industry understand, exactly the same as auto industry before 2020.
This is it. The game is officially over.
Looking back 10 years or 20 years or when VW and GM set up shops in Shanghai, no Chinese in their wildest dreams dared to predict what has already happened now. Automobile industry is the #1 industry on this planet, period. Therefore, China calling itself a developing country is a lovely joke
