Zhengzhou's BYD production facilities are picking up employment, simultaneous to Foxconn shifting more of Zhengzhou's iPhone production to India.

Imo, this shows that a lot of commentary saying that China would be on the back foot from Foxconn moving production abroad were a little shortsighted.
Free version anyone?

I read that you can see people in Arizona driving around in BYD Sharks.
Interesting, didn't realize the Shark was already shipping so I looked it up
Indeed there are Mexican dual nationals driving these cross-border

Rivian looks nice, but it is really expensive and they are losing money on every truck, so I don't expect the price to come down. They are not able to sell enough to justify scaling up production either, basically cooked. I will see after VW buys their remains.

The scaling is never going to come now that every battery factory plan in the West is being scaled back.

China gets 4 out of the top 10. The US only has one, but it's the leader. I count SGMW as essentially Chinese now. Very surprised to see Vinfast in the top 30. And it seems like the Turkish Togg is still hanging on.

I suspect China would dominate the top 10 list more if we finally got the EV industry consolidation we were all waiting for, but it seems we are not there yet.

Yes there are YouTube videos of Americans reviewing BYD Sharks in the US borrowed from others who bought them in Mexico.
