BYD's roro ships need to be commissioned at higher rate.
I do have questions whether they can actually ship the # of vehicles that they to sell. However, Brazil factory should be operational next year. Which means they will be shipping knock down kits and won't require RoRo ships to their biggest oversea market.

Love how the video starts moving through the brush like sneaking to get to a secret location. Someone said he was just doing a number 1.

I think Chinese luxury EVs would be a big hit in Hollywood celebrity circles.
Inbe4 Chinese EVs will be the luxury items only the richer consumers can afford(tarifs and supply) in the US.

That's exactly what I predicted would happen. It's like the German autos becoming symbols of luxury while they're just taxis in Germany. If you're actually the best then elevating the price with tariffs and whatnot will just make it into a status symbol. That's why I believe some Chinese manufacturers should go through the steps and make their cars road legal in the US and set up a small supply chain for spare parts.

Yangwang, LiAuto, Nio should all do that. They would sell very few cars, but the few they sell will be highly visible. The people who buy them won't care about having to overnight spare parts from China to keep the car running. They probably won't make money on these ventures, but think of it more like marketing. Lebron James rolling up to Staples Center in an U8, or Scarlett Johansson ferrying kids around in a Mega would help establish the brand around the world, possibly even in the US. That way, if they do set up production in the US with its associated higher costs, which may be possible under Trump, they can still sell them at a premium.

  • The EU is expected to allow Chinese access to European subsidies in exchange for transferring technology and IP to European companies.
  • This is expected to be confirmed before new EU grants for battery manufacturing become available in December.

The Europeans have the American problem. They will never be able to produce an EV cheaper than China with Chinese EV tech even if they outsource it. They're trying to copy European joint ventures in China? Well then give them lesser EV technology to the Europeans. Did China make equivalent ICE engines from European tech? So you know they didn't "give" China their best.

Personally I wouldn't want China to give them anything. Let them stew in falling behind... The West isn't even buying their own cars. They don't have a lot of leverage when their auto industry is dying.
