No weather report at the end though
You can tell 猫爪 is both happy that this gang is finally getting what's coming to them, particularly his nemesis 白应苍, yet at the same time he's a bit saddened because soon he will have to find a new hobby. To quote a famous classical Chinese passage:

眼看他起朱楼
眼看他宴宾客
眼看他楼塌了

Big news, conflict seems to be ending, looks like MNDAA will probably take Kokang and have some sort of peaceful relationship with the Junta.

China brokers talks in Myanmar between military junta and rebel groups that yield ‘positive results’

  • China said talks held over the conflict in northern Myanmar yielded ‘positive results’, after weeks of fighting between the junta and ethnic rebel groups
  • A junta spokesperson was quoted by state media as saying another meeting is likely to be held at the end of the month
Representatives from Myanmar’s ruling military have met with three armed rebel groups involved in an ongoing anti-junta offensive, state media reported a junta spokesperson as saying on Monday.

The meeting was facilitated by China and there would likely be another such meeting by the end of this month, Zaw Min Tun said, according to MRTV’s Telegram channel.

“Myanmar’s National Unity and Peacemaking Coordination Committee met with representatives of MNDAA, TNLA and AA with the help of China,” he said, referring to the armed ethnic groups.
What is the other neighbouring superpower doing to help the situation ;)

10 arrest warrants issued by Chinese police against the heads of 3 out of 4 families of Kokang. Recall what happened last time with the Ming family some of them out of this group may not have long to live.
Maybe they shouldn't be called "arrest warrants" since they seem to be death sentences. "Shoot on sight bounties"?

China's intervention prompts MNDAA to agree a temporary ceasefire with the military in Kokang until Dec 30, reportedly aiming to facilitate the exit of the military’s civil servants from Laukkai. Despite recent talks with the military in China, TNLA and AA continue their fights.

Maybe they shouldn't be called "arrest warrants" since they seem to be death sentences. "Shoot on sight bounties"?
China prefers them alive, but I'm sure there are some in Kokang who prefer otherwise.

Just got another Chinese scam call phishing for personal information today, the 1st caller pretends to be a local telecom employee using call spoofing to claim a number was opened using your name, they then ask you to talk with a Chinese police officer and transfer you to scammer #2 who tries to get you to divulge personal information while pretending to be the officer.

Noose in Myanmar needs tightening still.
